Nobody seems to know much about this little jar, it’s a bit of an enigma, but Marmite seems to think that it could be an early version of a hotel jar. I’ve never seen another with this type of label, but this milky glass jar was used a lot with the early Australian version of Marmite. This, however, is British. It’s probably from the earlier part of the 20th Century (1920-1930) and where I’ve not had this appraised, I would be surprised if it didn’t go for £150+. I certainly wouldn’t let it go for less.
